The system disk and the data disk are independent, so you can detach or move the data disk to retain the data event after you delete your virtual machine. The data disk is like another independent hard disk. You can perform operations such as partitioning and creating a file system on the VCS.

A VCS can attach multiple data disks at the same time. One data disk can only be attached to one VCS at the same time.

Object storage is a cost-effective storage for file backup and VCS image store.

The billing for storage is billed per GB/month. Less one month is billed pro-rated by the hour.
